October 22-24 at beautiful Asilomar
Registration forms have been mailed! We are excited about returning to the beautiful Asilomar Retreat Center in Monterey.
The Women’s Retreat offers spiritually uplifting moments, friendship-building, and just plain fun. We arrive late Friday afternoon and leave at noon on Sunday. The delicious meals are served in the Crocker Dining Hall (you’ll love the high-beamed ceilings, stone pillars and views of the forest and dunes).
We will gather over the weekend for prayer, worship and an in-depth examination of the vital, freeing process of forgiveness. Gayle Wilson has agreed to lead again this year. Saturday afternoon is for rest, relaxation or fun group activities.
If you have decided to attend, please submit your application and check as soon as possible. (It’s very helpful to know how many are coming, so we can plan accordingly.) If you’re still considering it, please think some more.
If you have questions (or need encouragement), please see Gayle Wilson, Sue Zelt, Laura Moser, Tania Gire or Linda Anderson.
There is some money available for scholarships, so don’t let the cost deter you!
New - Walk the Talk
Paula Lee is leading a group of women weekly in a 'Walk the Talk' time at Lake Elizabeth on Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. We have a discussion topic while we walk around the lake. All women are welcome! We meet in front of the snack shack at the boat dock at 9:00 and we leave by 9:10.
Men's Breakfast
“Men’s Breakfast” for July will be a “Chuck Wagon” dinner. On July 31st from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. will be a dinner featuring BBQ chicken, guaranteed to be good by Charlie Mabie. All men are invited.
Our topic this time will be “The Stewardship of Commitment.” Relationships must be cultivated and maintained; they don’t simply happen (even among Christians).
