Stewardship

God has blessed us so much - as individuals, as a congregation, as a country. The first step in being good stewards is recognizing the source of all that blessing.

Giving & Finances

Our giving should never be merely because of need. Giving that pleases God comes from a heart that responds to God’s abundant gifts and desires to use all that he has given in his service. If God lays it on your heart to increase your giving, know that it will be well used. To those who have so faithfully given sacrificially in regular support of the ministry we share, we thank God for your faithfulness! Take joy in seeing all that God is doing with it!

Budget Update

We are truly blessed with a congregation of generous givers but we never forget that we are humble stewards of God’s resources.  Whether you are giving from abundance or sacrificially, we thank you because your giving in 2008 allowed us to carry out all our mission objectives.

Thankful for all that He provides to us, the ministries of Prince of Peace produce a harvest of God’s righteousness far beyond Fremont – to Africa, China and Europe.

Endowment Fund

Last year the congregation approved $12,000 to be distributed from the Endowment Fund for special outreach events here at Prince of Peace.

And those events are here!

The recent weekend with astronaut Colonel Jeff Williams has been entirely underwritten by the Fund.

The upcoming “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” seminar, February 24 and 25, is also being partially supported financially by the Fund.

The Fund was established to support very special ministries within Prince of Peace not covered by the general operating fund as well as ministries in the community and the world.

Each year for the past five years the Fund has provided between $9,600 and $12,000 for a special ministry. Distributions have been given to support our youth going to a National Youth Gathering in Orlando, FL, our Prince of Peace School Scholarship Fund, our youth going on a short-term mission trip to Belize, support for Freeman Li’s year of vicarage here at Prince of Peace, and now special congregational outreach events here this year.

These funds are only available because people have had the spiritual motivation to provide for future ministries here through estate planning, wills, trusts, and bequests. Those who planned and provided in the past are living on through the ministries they are supporting today and into the future. Brian Hyde, a planned giving counselor, works in partnership with the Foundation of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod and can be reached at (925) 245-4000.

Assets You Can Give
