Stewardship

God has blessed us so much - as individuals, as a congregation, as a country. The first step in being good stewards is recognizing the source of all that blessing.

Giving & Finances

Our giving should never be merely because of need. Giving that pleases God comes from a heart that responds to God’s abundant gifts and desires to use all that he has given in his service. If God lays it on your heart to increase your giving, know that it will be well used. To those who have so faithfully given sacrificially in regular support of the ministry we share, we thank God for your faithfulness! Take joy in seeing all that God is doing with it!

Budget Update

We are truly blessed with a congregation of generous givers but we never forget that we are humble stewards of God’s resources.  Whether you are giving from abundance or sacrificially, we thank you because your giving in 2008 allowed us to carry out all our mission objectives.

Thankful for all that He provides to us, the ministries of Prince of Peace produce a harvest of God’s righteousness far beyond Fremont – to Africa, China and Europe.

Simply Giving

Is an automated giving program available to everyone, paid for by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. It's a reliable and safe way to plan and give your contributions, which are automatically transferred from your bank account to the church’s bank account at intervals you specify. Ask Debbie Perryman in the church office for the necessary form.

Endowment Fund

We've established an endowment fund to allow us to plan to carry our vision for ministry far into the future.  Speak to Pastor Sauer if you are interested in knowing more about making a gift of cash, securities, bequests, life insurance or other assets to the endowment fund.

Recently the managers of our Endowment Fund recommended that our distribution for this year, about $8,700, be used in support of about 22 of our young adults going on a short-term mission trip to Belize this summer. (This gift is still subject to approval by the congregation.)

That is just one of the ministries our Endowment Fund has assisted. And the only reason this money is available is because a handful of people made a conscious decision to contribute to our Endowment Fund when they did their estate planning.

Assets You Can Give
Charitable giving to the POP Endowment does not require great wealth. It requires generosity of spirit - the desire to share what you have for the benefit of others.  Gifts can be made in many forms and in any size, and can be customized to fit your personal circumstances.  Learn more about different types of giving tools and the kinds of assets you can give.
