Outerwear Uniform Code: Product Image

Standard crew neck, solid color sweatshirts without logos –only—maybe worn in the classroom.  That is, no zippers, pockets, or hoods.   Prince of Peace sweatshirts are acceptable classroom wear.

  • Jackets, including fleece pullovers, may not be worn during class.

  • Uniform sweaters may be worn during class.

  • Tennis shoes are recommended footwear.

Free Dress Days Guidelines:

  • Pants and shorts must be worn at the natural beltline.

  • Pants and shorts must be sized to the person's body (no oversized choices)

  • Girl's tops must cover the shoulders.  Sleeveless is okay if the top comes to the edge of the shoulder

  • Girl's tops must reach the waistband of the bottom garment.  No bare midriffs

  • Shorts and skorts must be the same length as uniform styles

  • Jeans are okay if not skin tight

  • Jackets must be off in the classroom

  • Shoes must have toes and heels covered

  • T-shirts with offensive or bizarre themes are not allowed

  • No "extremes" in hair styles, clothing or make-up

  • Let good judgment prevail.

Bargain Hunters Welcome: 

The uniform clothes closet is located across from the school office.  We suggest a donation between $1 and $4 per item.  The donation box is with the clothing. 

When donating items, please be sure they are in good condition and laundered.

Uniform Colors

  • Pants, Shorts, Skirts, Skorts, Jumpers (Bottom Pieces):
    Navy, Black
    , Khaki, or the uniform black/white check.
    These must be uniform style
  • Polo Shirts, Mock Turtlenecks, and Turtlenecks, Sweaters, Sweatshirts (Top Pieces):
    Red, White, Evergreen, Burgundy, Chambray Blue, Maize, Navy Blue.  (See the Lands End Catalog for color samples)

Our uniform includes any of the items pictured in the Merry Mart catalogue.  You may, however, purchase them at any one of the following stores (but they must match the standard in Merry Mart:

  • Mervyns Uniform Department

  • J.C. Penney Uniform Department or Mail Order

  • Lands End School Uniform Department

  • Sue Mills Uniform Store (Dublin)

Details regarding these places or catalogs are available in the school office.

Additional Information

  • Be sure to purchase a permanent marking pen to write your child’s name on the inside tag of each item of clothing, especially sweaters and sweatshirts. Be sure to label ALL PE clothes as well. This is crucial for students in Grades 6 – 8!

  • NAMES on every item of outerwear (sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets) are essential for ALL students.  Students in Grades 5-8 must have names on EVERY item including their PE clothes. 

  • Uniform items must be sized to fit the body with some allowance for growth.  Pants must be worn at the waist, with a belt if necessary.
  • Note:  there are to be no pockets on the legs of pants or shorts
