Fabulous Fifth Grade Facts! · Please make sure your child brings 2 large bags with his/her name on them. We will be using them next Monday and Tuesday as we pack things up in the classroom. · IOWA Tests results are here! If you were unable to make it to the PTO meeting last Wednesday, please see me to receive your child’s results. If you do not pick them up, they will be sent home with your child’s last report card. · A list of missing assignments was sent home on Friday, May 30th. All missing assignments, absent work and redo papers must be turned in no later than Friday, June 6th. · Mid quarter reports went home on Friday, May 16th. Please make sure that you sign one copy and return it to me and keep the second copy. There are two students who have not turned theirs in… · Just a reminder: If you send food with your child to heat up in the microwave, please make sure that it takes no more than a minute and half. Thank you! · Our class will need help with the 5th grade game at the BBQ/Field Day on Monday, June 9th. I will need 2-3 parents to help with the game from 10-2. Lunch will be provided. Please let me know if you are available to help! o Also, the 5th and 6th graders are responsible for bringing the hot dog buns for our lunch that day. Please bring them in as soon as possible. · I will need some parent drivers for our end of the year pizza and bowling party. Please let me know if you are available to drive. Permission slips will be sent home on Tuesday next week. · We will be celebrate summer birthdays next Thursday, June 5th. If your child has a summer birthday and would like to bring in a treat to share with the class, they are more than welcome to do that on Thursday. Tips for Parent Proofreading: · Choose a quiet place to work together. · Sit next to your child with the paper to be proofread. · Read the paper aloud to your child. · Check for and correct capitalization, word usage, grammar, sentence structure, spelling and punctuation. · Commend your child for a job well done |
