“Want to be part of the Praise Band?”
Play an instrument or sing? Maybe your playing or singing skills are a bit rusty. Ever think about playing in the Praise Band but not sure if you can make the commitment?
Well, I want to talk with you! Under the guidance of the Worship Ministry Team, I’m offering Praise Band training.
I will focus on what it takes to be a worship leader and a member of vocals or the band. I will have leaders in all areas: singing, guitar, bass, keyboard and drums ready to work one-on-one with you to develop and hone your skills. And, I’m very flexible on commitment! This training starts Monday, April 5th at 7:30 to 9:00 in the music room (located next to Veritas) and is available every week, so don’t worry if you can’t make it right away.
Contact Mark Woodrow at 510-713-8931, or mwoodrow@ea.com if you’re interested.
Festival Choir
As Advent approaches, the Festival Choir will be swinging into it's preparations for Christmas. If you enjoy singing in a group but aren't able to make a full-time commitment to the choir, here's your opportunity to hit the right balance!
We practice on Wednesday evenings, and when Advent services begin, we will put in some focused practice from 7:00 to 7:25.
Yes, this does take place during the soup-suppers, but it still gives you half an hour to have something to eat and some fellowship with others before joining us. Think of it: Food, song, and worship -- all in one night. How can you beat that for one-stop shopping?? Join us ... it's a great way to make a special contribution to the Christmas Season!

Handbell Concert
We have the privilege of the exceptional hand bell choir from Concordia Irvine, coming to Prince of Peace! They will be in concert on Monday, May 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
We want to offer a warm welcome to the choir members. We are asking for helpers to provide an evening meal for them before the concert on that Monday night. If you can organize or help with the dinner, please contact Evon Thomas in the church office, 793-3366 x265.
Also, host families are needed for the night of Monday, May 23rd, to house the 29 visitors overnight. Your commitment would be to take them home after the concert on Monday night, feed them some breakfast in the morning, and then bring them back to the church. If you are able to provide a bed to a couple of students, please contact Evon Thomas in the church.
