Why attend Peace Chinese School? Welcome to Peace Chinese School. We believe our Saturday Chinese Program and our Summer Chinese Program are among the best in the Bay Area. Here are four qualities that distinguish us from other schools. 1. Our school is part of our church ministry. It is not a business in which someone is trying to balance rental space and profit. We hire excellent teachers and our cost is the best value in the area.
2. Our private school environment is safe and great for learning, taking a study break or hosting a celebration. On cold or rainy days, our students can take a break in our gym or youth activity room. We have excellent facilities.
3. For many people, Chinese study is part of a quest for success. Better study leads to better educational opportunities which lead to better jobs and a better life. Jesus Christ challenges our narrow view of success by saying in Luke 12, “A man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.” At Peace Chinese School, we have a broad view of success that sees Chinese study as a gift of God, not simply a task
4. Our principal, Pastor David Wilson, began to learn Chinese when he moved to China to teach English at the age of 22. Teaching English in China and learning Chinese as a second language gives him the ability to understand the process of learning Chinese as a second language. His attitude and love for China, Chinese culture and Chinese people also sets us apart as a Chinese school.

Our Chinese School has enrolled 40 students for the 2007-2008 school year. Our four teachers continue to play a huge role in our ministry both in their service to their students and also in their service to our Chinese ministry at large. Thank God for this wonderful door for our community to get involved in our Chinese ministry. |
